Summary:
The New Product Development (NPD) Test & Evaluation Technician position is Responsible for the preparation and testing of pre-production devices to support the product development process.
Responsible for testing support of competitor product evaluations for marketing information.
Assisting in preparing the lab for simulated clinical evaluations and new product pilot lines is also included in the position.
Supporting the acquisition, calibration and validation of lab equipment.
Job Details:
Associate is responsible to follow requirements of Quality System; including document/data control, compliance with procedures, and change control practices.
Perform basic product testing on prototype, pre-production, and/ or final design products.
Testing performed typically includes use of equipment such as:
measuring dimensions using pin gauges, laser micrometers, rulers, length gages, protractors, measuring microscopes, Instron testing, bench testing using small or large fixtures or jigs, visual inspection, lubricity and durability testing, and packaging / shipping distribution equipment Tabulate experimental data utilizing statistical programs.
Assists in compiling technical reports and summaries.
Perform test method validation testing as defined by a protocol Perform general calibrations as necessary.
Lock out/ Tag out general equipment as necessary Perform general Installation Qualification testing per protocol for laboratory equipment.
Maintain a lab notebook Ensure development lab and equipment is organized and maintained at usable levels Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requires a high school diploma.
Post high school education beneficial but not required.
2-5 years medical device industry experience.
Prior technical engineering, quality assurance, or manufacturing support experience is required.
Ability to use testing equipment (ie calipers, micrometers, microscope, optical comparator, Instron, Laser Mic, Lubricity Tester, etc.
).
Requires a logical thought process and decision making ability to make product acceptability choices based upon quality criteria, engineering criteria, testing results and product requirements.
Mathematical knowledge and aptitude, including algebra and utilization of sampling plans/statistical charts.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
